Punjab government will introduce new laws to monitor private sector housing schemes, to ensure protection of public investment and to eliminate fraudulent housing developers. This was stated by Punjab Co-operatives minister Colonel Malik Mohammad Anwar (Retd) while at the inauguration of a community centre at the Velentia Co-operative Housing Society here on Wednesday, according to a handout. He said the new laws will ensure that developers give complete and correct information to the public in their advertisements, such as the exact number of plots available and allotment method etc.
