Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (Piaf) has urged the government to abolish commercialisation fee on hotels in order to promote tourism besides giving equal incentives to domestic and foreign investors. This was demanded by the Piaf Vice-Chairman, Mian Abuzar Shad in a statement issued here on Thursday. He said that by doing so, tourism industry could fetch precious foreign exchange for the country. He said that the government was exempting foreign investors in hotel industry while there was 20 percent fee on domestic investors of the same sector.
He said that this discrimination should be eliminated besides giving local investors more incentives so as tourism sectors could grow.
