The neutral expert appointed by the World Bank to look into the differences between India and Pakistan over the Baglihar Dam project will hold his first meeting with the two sides on June 9. Raymond Lafitte will hold his first meeting with India and Pakistan in Paris on June 9 and 10 to address differences between the two nations on the project being constructed by New Delhi on River Chenab in occupied Kashmir.
Lafitte had asked the two countries to send their teams to the meeting to finalise procedure of the proceedings during the two-day meeting, sources said.
Sources said Pakistani government has received letter sent by Lafitte and same kind of letter was also sent to the Indian government.
The water and power ministry, foreign office, law ministry and Indus Waters Treaty commissioner would soon finalise Pakistani delegation that would be sent to Paris for talks.
