Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association (PHMA) has welcomed steps announced in the budget 2005-06 for the promotion of exports of textiles, particularly knitwear and garments. In a press statement here on Tuesday, a spokesman of PHMA said that entire textile industry welcomes bold steps taken by the government regarding zero rating of sales tax on entire chain of textiles.
The budgetary steps will not only give a boost to the exports of textile sector but will also bring new investments in the manufacturing sector.
