Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will unveil "AEDB" first alternative Energy project at Narian Khorian near Islamabad on June 11. The project was recently completed by the Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB). Narian Khorian was selected for the project as it did not have electricity, clean drinking water, educational facilities and is located near Rawalpindi so that project can be completed in the shortest possible time.
This will help AEDB to monitor the problems faced during the execution and the experience gained would help in the better implementation of future projects in other provinces approved by the government of Pakistan. The project will be microscopy monitored by technical professionals for its sustainability.
Along with the supply of electricity AEDB project has provided electrification of 100 houses, mosque and school. Each house has been provided with 3 energy savers, 3 led light and a DC fan connection.
Solar Water Purification Plant in the village will provide purified drinking water to the inhabitants to give them relief from diseases caused by polluted water.
Solar Powered Computer Lab has been established and it will facilitate the basic computer literacy amongst the local residents.
Public toilets have also been built. Public toilets will help to improve the existing hygienic conditions by proper disposal of human waste.
Solar cookers will provide a pollution free means of cooking replacing the traditional stoves which use wood or kerosene oil as fuel.-PR
