The Vice-Chairman of Majlis Ashura, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mahmoud A. Taiba called on Chairman Senate, Mohammadmian Soomro here at his chamber in the Parliament House on Thursday. Matters pertaining to mutual interest and Pak-Saudi Parliamentary co-operation were discussed during the meeting. The Vice-Chairman of Saudi Majlis Ash Shura conveyed good wishes from the Chairman of the Saudi Majlis Ash Shura to Soomro, which were warmly reciprocated by him.
He also briefed the Chairman Senate about the activities of a charity project "Hera Children Home", established by Taiba at Haripur.
He said that the project, which has been completed at the cost of Rs 120 million, is providing accommodation and imparting education in religion with combination of modern sciences to 1000 orphan boys and girls. He also appreciated the support of the government of Pakistan in the implementation of the project. The Chairman Senate lauded the services of the project to the community as well as orphan children. He said that the project is working as a bridge and promoting a sense of goodwill between the people of the two brotherly countries.
