43 Bahawalnagar villages declared calamity-hit

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, while declaring 43 villages of Bahawalnagar district as calamity affected has granted total remission in local rate, abiana, agricultural income-tax and development cess for Rabi crops 2004-2005. The Relief Commissioner, Punjab, has issued notification in this respect.
The DCO Bahawalnagar, apprising the people of Kissan-friendly steps taken by the Chief Minister, Punjab, said that 21 villages of Tehsil Chishtian, 9 villages of Tehsil Minchinabad and 13 villages of Tehsil Fortabbas, have been declared as calamity affected as a result of which millions of farmers will be benefited.
