Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) senior vice president Sharafat Ali Mubarak has criticised the provincial government and local administration for failure in recovery of currency dealer Ajmal Saraf, abducted from Peshawar. In a press release issued here on Thursday, he said district administration has failed to provide protection to general public, particularly, the trading community. He said growing incidents of kidnapping for ransom and robberies speak about the incompetence of administration.
Mubarak reminded trading community paid all kind of taxes to the government and extended support in the implementation of policies. But, it has failed in fulfilling its responsibilities in a better way. He further said that the incidents of kidnapping and dacoities badly affect investment, and halt promotion of the business community. The SCCI senior vice president demanded of the Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani to take personal interest in the recovery of abducted Ajmal Saraf.
