Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz met National Assembly speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain in his chamber at the Parliament House on Friday and discussed with him proceedings of the current session of the lower house, schedule of the budget session and other related matters. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the smooth conduct of the House by the speaker saying that not only the treasury but also the opposition members are being given adequate time to express their views on the budget.
Complimenting the speaker, the Prime Minister said that this indicates a healthy trend in line with democratic norms and principles. They also exchanged views on further improving the functioning of the House.
