Singapore bunker prices were lower on Monday, tracking falling fuel oil cargo values, as the bunker/cargo premium stayed steady, dealers said. Prices for 380-centistoke (cst) bunker fuel were pegged at $248-$250 a tonne, down $3 a tonne from last Friday, with the bunker premium at around $6-$7 a tonne, unchanged from the previous trading day.
"There's not much demand today and some mid-tier independents are showing offers at aggressive levels of $247-$248 a tonne and still barely getting a look from the very limited buyers in the market," a Singapore-based supplier said.
"However, prompt quality cargoes, especially those from oil majors are still fetching a premium. One major was heard fixing deals at 4251-$252 a tonne levels although such deals are few and far between."
