US Plains spot hard red winter wheat basis bids were steady to lower on Monday, as harvest stalled out again in some Plains locations due to heavy weekend rainfall. A merchant in Enid, Oklahoma, reported rain of more than 5 inches in some parts of the state. "It's going to be a long while before we get into fields," the merchant said.
Meteorlogix forecaster Joel Burgio said widespread thunderstorms hit northern Oklahoma and all of Kansas, the largest US wheat-growing state, over the weekend.
