The European Union's grain management committee has authorised the Czech Republic to use Belgian intervention stores for 300,000 tonnes of cereals this season, the EU grain lobby Coceral said on Thursday. Last month the EU authorised the Czech Republic to put 55,000 tonnes of its grain in German intervention stores.
It had also authorised France to store 345,000 tonnes of grain in Belgium.
But on Wednesday French grains office ONIC said France would not need to store grain in Belgium because intervention offers this season were lower than first expected.
