The National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) will hold consultation meetings on its policy research on "women's right to inheritance and its implementation," which has recently been completed. The NCSW, a statutory body, was established in 2000. To seek the expert opinion, the commission has organised consultation meetings with the religious scholars, religio-political leaders, heads of religious institutions, judges, parliamentarians, public sector officials and civil society at provincial level.
The meetings will be held in Quetta on June 23, Lahore on June 28, Peshawar on July 3, Karachi on July 7, Gilgit on July 12, and Muzaffarabad on July 16.
