The first World-wide Earth festival is being celebrated in around 20 countries of the world simultaneously from June 20. The aim of the day is to sensitise the children about environmental protection through their participation to make the earth green and peaceful. In this connection, Community Support programme, a non-government organisation (NGO), in collaboration with various governmental departments and civil society organisations, is celebrating this event as a part of its endeavour to make the world green, safe and peaceful.
The festival would continue for two days June 20-21, 2005 at NIC building from 10.00 am to 1:30 pm. The days are also divided as Earth for Solidarity and Earth of Children.
