Chairman SITE Association of Industry (SAI), Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig Friday formally inaugurated the new branch of Saudi Pak Bank Branch at SITE area. President & CEO Saudi Pak Bank Mansoor Khan, SEVP Faqir Ejaz Asghar, SVP Khalil Qureshi and other senior management of the bank and Executive Committee members of SITE Association were present on the occasion.
President Mansoor Khan in his welcome address appreciated role of SITE Association for uplifting industrial and commercial activities in the SITE.
He said new branch of the bank would provide all banking facilities at doorsteps of industrialists of SITE which, according to him, were major player of industrial growth in Pakistan.
He said considerable future growth was envisioned for the bank.
"The SITE branch is part of the bank's continuous expansion plans for its operations that currently span a network of 38 branches across 18 major cities of Pakistan," he added.
According to him SITE branch brought to total 11 of the bank's branches functioning in Karachi at prime locations.
Chairman SAI, Dr Ikhtiar Baig acknowledged impressive growth of Saudi Pak Commercial Bank from a troubled bank to a progressive bank with such a strong capital base.
He lauded appointment of Mansoor Khan, who had a proven track record as a professional seasoned banker having vast experience of corporate banking, as new president of the bank.
He said SITE offered immense potential and business opportunities for the banks in the area having renowned multinationals, pharmaceuticals, engineering and other service industries.
He advised the bank's management to develop new products according to nature of activity of SITE, saying there were 550,000 workers in this area in about 3000 industrial units for which product like project financing, working capital, personal loans and salary accounts could be promoted.
