Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has handed-over relief goods worth Rs 25 million to Afghan Ambassador Dr Nangurayal Tarzi, here on Friday for flood and rains victims of Jalalabad. Chairman of PRCS, Jahan Dad Khan handed-over the relief items that included wheat, oil, medicines and tents. Speaking on the occasion, the PRCS Chairman assured that the society would continue its rehabilitation and relief operations in Afghanistan.
Jahan Dad Khan said that the PRCS will organise a second eye-camp in Afghanistan in August to reduce the sufferings of the people.
He said that disaster management is our top priority area and to cope with natural disasters we are concentrating on disaster preparedness and capacity building at grassroots level.
