The President of Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Shaikh Salah Bin Abdullah Kamel, is scheduled to visit Pakistan from June 25 to 27. He would be accompanied by Khalid Rabah Director General ICCI. Shaikh Salah Bin Abdullah was elected as ICCI chief two months back and his visit to Pakistan is in continuation of the Islamic Chamber's efforts to inspire international investors with main focus on Islamic world to prefer Pakistan for investment.
Shaikh Salah Bin Abdullah comes from a very prominent industrialist group of Saudi Arabia and his visit to Pakistan is of extra ordinary importance. His meeting with Pakistani top leadership and prominent traders and industrialists is its ample proof.
Secretary General ICCI Aqeel Jaseem, Co-ordinator of ICCI and former president Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Iftikhar Ali Malik, FPCCI chief Chaudhary Saeed, Vice-president FPCCI Zubair Malik will receive the ICCI chief on his arrival at Islamabad Airport on Saturday.
Shaikh Salah Bin Abdullah is likely to call on the President and Prime Minister and federal ministers including Minister for Privatisation Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Minister for Commerce Humayun Akhtar Khan and Board of investment (BoI) chief Waseem Haqqiue.
They will have a meeting with the members of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on June 26 to create better understanding among Pakistani traders and industrialists about the world changing demands and challenges. A high level ICCI delegation had visited Pakistan some two months back.
Iftikhar Ali Malik attaches great hopes with ICCI chief visit to Pakistan. He is convinced that ICCI can give a loud and clear message to the entire world that Pakistan is a safe place for foreign investment. He said ICCI is an important forum and it can help Pakistan build image to attract foreign investment.
