Microsoft Pakistan announced on Sunday that its successful hosting of its second 'Partner Summit' in Swat on June 17-19, 2005, brought together top CEOs of over 19 Microsoft's top partner organisations to discuss last year's performance and share next year's plans for a better alignment of strategies and business development.
The event - which was a great opportunity for organisations' leaders to meet and interact with their peers of the industry - focused on following topics: Unlicensed PC Opportunity, System Builder Channel and Distribution, Volume Licensing Business (Small and Medium Business and Corporate Sector) and Independent Software Vendors (ISV's). Away from the business side, the summit accommodated a number of Fun/Team building activities.
In addition, this year's summit witnessed the launch of the 'Circle of Excellence Award' aimed to recognise top performers among Microsoft's valued partners for the Fiscal Year 2005. This year's winners were: Volume Licensing resellers - IOP and Premier Systems, ISV's - Kalsoft, Distributor - Romasoft, local System Builders - Inbox Technologies and Raffles Systems, MBS partners - Business Solutions.
Top individual performers where also awarded: Asad Akhter (IOP), Faisal Misbah (Premier Systems), Habib Hashmani (Business Solutions), Khurram Kalia (Kalsoft), Ali Ashraf (Romasoft), and Kanayo Lal (Romasoft).
