I am pleased that the leading newspapers of the country have published this special supplement to mark the launch of Worldcall Wireless Local Loop (WLL) service by the renowned national telecom company Worldcall, which has succeeded in obtaining the WLL license of all the telecom regions in the country.
I congratulate Worldcall Telecom Group on launching this new service and feel quite confident that Worldcall would make a wonderful contribution in the development of the telecom sector and boosting Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) by introducing state-of-the-art technology in Wireless Local Loop telecommunication services with a high standard quality of service to the consumer.
Worldcall Telecommunications Group, one of the fastest growing private telecom concerns, has already established its identity in the telecom market owing to the initiatives taken by the Group in payphone networks, pre-paid calling cards, broadband and information portal services besides interactive cable TV. I extend the assurance that Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), as a telecom regulator, will spare no effort in providing a level playing field and a congenial atmosphere to the telecom players in the deregulated environment. PTA will also ensure that the rights and interests of the service users are fully protected and they get quality services by the new operators.
