The Punjab government on Tuesday released as many as 45 prisoners form Kot Lakhpat Jail, who were arrested from Afghanistan. These prisoners belong to different cities of Punjab, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Rahim Yar Khan and Rawalpindi.
Talking to newsmen, a prisoner Shahbaz Ahmed said that they were badly tortured in Afghanistan, adding that they were detained in Kabul jail for three years and afterward they were brought to Pakistan.
He said that they had been detained at Kot Lakhpat for the last one year.
