District Nazim Major Tahir Sadiq (Retd) has said that the government is giving priority to facilitate the people living in far-flung areas and has allocated million of rupees for this purpose. This, he said, while inaugurating provision of electricity to Dhoke Sahibwali of Union Council Tarap, about 80 km away from Attock.
On the occasion Provincial Minister for Co-operatives Colonel Muhammad Anwar Khan (Retd), MPA Pir Abbas Mohyuddin, Nazim union council Tarap Itbar Khan and other notables of the area were also present.
Tahir Sadiq said the scheme has been completed at the cost of Rs 1.6 million and about one hundred families would be benefited. He said the district government is giving priority to education and electrification and so far throughout the district Rs 800 million have been spent on provision of electricity and gas and to improve facilities in schools Rs 630 million have been spent.
He said, road would be metalled from Dhoke Habib to Haddowali and road from Tarap to Dhoke Sarfraz would be metalled from provincial quota. He said, soon construction of Sohan bridge would be started.
District Nazim urged the people to vote for Major group who as committed to bring progress and prosperity in the area and know how to deliver.
While speaking on the occasion, Provincial Minister Muhammad Anwar said, the Punjab government is giving top priority to education and billion of rupees have been allocated for it. He said, under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, the Punjab province is heeding towards prosperity.
MPA Pir Abbas Mohyuddin said, soon all the villages of his constituency would be electrified as Chief Minister has promised for it.
Earlier, in his welcome address Nazim union council Tarap Malik Itbar Khan thanked District Nazim Major Tahir Sadiq (Retd) for giving special attention to far-flung union council Tarap and expressed his full confidence in his leadership.
He assured the District Nazim that people of his union council would cast their vote in favour of major group for the services he rendered for the people of the area.
