City Nazim Naimatullah Khan was briefed about the ongoing regularisation of illegal buildings at a meeting regarding Regularisation-2000 here on Tuesday. The meeting was attended, among others, by Chief Controller Brigadier A. S. Nasir (Retd) and OSD Rauf Akhtar Farooqi. In the meeting, regularisation of structures and warehouses at Hawkesbay truck stand came under consideration.
On the occasion, the Chief Controller informed the participants of the meeting that applications for regularisation of illegal buildings from Mauripur and SITE were not being received.
He said in view of this a camp office has been established at Hawkesbay truck stand to speed up the regularisation process. He said facility of an architect and photographer has also been made available at the camp office for public convenience.
It was informed that so far 13,000 applications have been received for regularisation of illegal buildings and June 30 is the last date for receipt of applications.
A KBCA spokesman said that the camp office at the Hawksbay truck stand is being manned by area Town Bhuilding Officer Khawaja Moinuddin and DCO Pervez Akhtar, while Shahid Ali is posted as counter in charge. KBCA has once again cautioned the people to submit their applications for regularisation by June 30 where after action will be taken.
