US arabica coffee futures settled down in a quiet session Wednesday after bearish speculators took advantage of a lack of roaster buying, traders said. The New York Board of Trade's most-active September contract dipped 1.05 cents to settle at $1.0645 a lb., after trading from $1.06 to $1.0825.
Front-month July coffee eased 1.20 cents to $1.0310 a lb., while longer-dated arabicas slipped 1.05 to 1.10 cents.
