Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief and former prime minister, who lives in exile in Saudi Arabia, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that he would not be entering into any deal with President Pervez Musharraf merely for coming back home. He was addressing PML (N) Punjab's organising ceremony held in Lahore by telephone from Jeddah. New office-bearers of the organisations in different districts of Punjab were also announced.
Mian Nawaz Sharif in his address said that the deal for coming back home meant wasting away the sacrifices of last five/six years. He said that he would not let go waste his own and his party workers' sacrifices.
He asserted that the time was fast approaching when the existing President would be persuading him, but he declared that he would never compromise on principles.
He stated that President Musharraf would be running after him in the days to come, but for the sake of the country, he would make hard decisions instead of compromising on principles.
Sharif told the participants that the so-called Muslim Leaguers of the king party would be looking towards us, but those who captured party offices and hurt the party interests would never be taken back into our party. He said that they were traitors and they would definitely be getting punishment for their deeds.
The central leaderships of PML (N) Raja Zafarul Huque, Iqbal Jhagra, Tahmina Daulatana, Ghulam Dastagir, Siddiqul Farooq, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif besides the new office-bearers of all the districts were present on this occasion.
