Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Dr Hamida Khuhro has on Saturday ordered inquiry into the alleged financial irregularities in Girls Primary Education Development Project (GPEDP) II and Deeni Madaris Project and asked for reports immediately.
The minister has ordered Special Secretary Iqbal Hussain Durrani to immediately relieve Taj Muhammad Seelro from the post of Project Manager, GPEDP-II.
Hamida Khuhro has also taken notice of the unsatisfactory progress of project director, Deeni Madaris, and ordered his removal/replacement with any other suitable officer.
The minister has taken notice of reports about the lapse of funds allocated for various annual development programme (ADP) schemes, which have not been launched in time.
