NWFP Senior Minister Siraj-ul-Haq received a cheque from Qazi Muneer-ul-Haq Managing Director, Bank of Khyber (BoK) at Markaz-e-Mashwarat Peshawar on Thursday evening for flood victims of the province. The amount was donated by the 351 regular officers of BoK as one-day salary to express their solidarity and support with flood affectees in the province.
The senior minister lauded spirit of the bank officials and hoped that employees of other institutions would also follow the suit in such odd hours on people of the province.
Meanwhile the BoK has opened a special relief account for the flood affectees of NWFP under current account No 5005. The senior minister has appealed the people from all over the country as well as overseas Pakistanis to donate their funds for flood affectees at any branch of Bank of Khyber.
