Futures maintained upward trend on the forward cottonseed oilcake market on Friday due to new purchasing on apprehension of further increase in the prices, dealers said. The December vaida commenced sharply higher at Rs 243.00 and that proved to be day's lowest at the same level, dealer said.
In the process of trading, it gained Rs 1.20 to be day's best at Rs 444.20 and the rates maintained this level at close.
The December vaida followed suit and started the day with big gain at Rs 424.50. During the day, it gained 60 paisa to be day's highest at Rs425.10. Later, it shed Rs 1.30 to be day's lowest at Rs 423.80 and closing was seen at Rs 424.60.
