The Karachi Port handled 71,075 tonnes of cargo including 47,278 tonnes import and 23,797 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The cargo comprised of 69,695 tonnes dry cargo including 52,217 tonnes general cargo; 1,415 tonnes cement; 4,051 tonnes iron scrabe; 12,012 tonnes fertiliser and 1,380 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Hyundai Sprinter, Canmar Success, YM Fortune, Bagi and Rising One sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Pac Antlia, Golden Express, Westermuehlen and Sea Orient Prosperity are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Rubin Steela, Kota Teraju, Pac Antlia and Eax Sanctity expected to sail on Friday, while Westermuehlen is expected to sail on Saturday.
Two vessels viz Neera Naree and Sagamore due to arrive on Friday, while three ships namely Kemal K A, Wan Hai-261 and Bright Sun are due to arrive on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 47,916 tonnes diesel oil; 4,050 tonnes edible oil; 7,026 tonnes coal and 14,807 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two container ships namely Contship Indigo and KIA Waleed sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while oil tanker Fotni Lady is expected to sail on Friday afternoon.
A total of four vessels viz Amasis, Bum Jo, Eburna and Warbah are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely CV Amasis, MT Eburna and Warbah due to take berths on Friday.
Four vessels namely MT Lissy Schulte, Oocl Authority, Maersk Alaska and MV Spar Carina with containers and iron ore due to arrive on Saturday, while another ship MSC Jordan is due to arrive on Sunday.
