This is with reference to the news item published in your newspaper "NADRA" mistake making many passport-seekers suffer". The claim that NADRA is issuing the CNICs mentioning only year of birth of the applicant and not the day and month. In this regard NADRA has no option but to mention only the year of birth of applicant if any applicant fails to provide his/her date and month of birth.
The data printed on CNIC is the same as provided by the applicants at the time of submission of form for the CNIC.
As far as issuance procedures and prerequisites of MRP are concerned these purely relate to passport and immigration department and not NADRA. It has been clarified time and again that NADRA is not at all involved in passport issuance after the transfer of booking and printing centre of machine readable passports.
