Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Children Rights Dr Faiza Asghar has said philanthropists play a pivotal role in the sustainability of welfare-oriented projects and the government fully appreciates and recognises their efforts in this regard.
She said this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Child Protection Institution (CPI) at Sundar Adda, Raiwind Road on Sunday.
The building of this new CPI was donated by renowned philanthropist Ghulam Rasool, chairman Gaba Trust. Besides Tariq Gaba, Zubair Shad and representatives of Unicef Silvia Pasti and Deepak, a number of CPWB's officers were present on the occasion.
A batch of 36 camel jockeys residing at CPWB was also shifted to this new premises, where trained staff would be available for their care round-the-clock.
She said this 14-room institute would work under the management of Child Protection and Welfare Bureau.
