Bill against land mafia termed a bold step

Pakistan Industrial & Traders Associations Front (Piaf) has termed the signing of a bill against land mafia by the President General Pervez Musharraf as a bold and appreciable step.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Piaf Vice-Chairman Mian Abuzar Shad said the overseas Pakistanis were making investment through their hard-earned money but left Pakistan due to Qabza groups activities.
He hoped the bill would help in restoring the confidence of overseas Pakistanis and enhancing domestic investment as well. He urged the provincial governments to ensure implementation of that law in letter and spirit.
He suggested the provincial governments should constitute special courts to eradicate the social evil of illegal possession of land.
