The State Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Chaudhry Zafar Iqbal Warriach on Tuesday said the government was taking every step to meet any emergency in flood affected areas. Talking to APP here on Tuesday, he said the government was providing all out assistance to rehabilitate flood victims and made all necessary arrangements for the purpose.
The state minister said all basic facilities including medical treatment were also being provided to the people of flood affected areas.
He said the elections of local bodies would not be postponed due to flood and the schedule would also not be changed.
The state minister said for the first time in the history of country, local body's institutions have completed its tenure and for that the credit went to the present government.
