Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has laid 427 kilometres long gas pipelines till June last to provide gas connections to the people in the Gujranwa1a region. This was stated by General Manager, Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed, while talking to APP here on Tuesday.
The gas lines have been laid in Sialkot, Gujranwla, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin and Hafizabad districts, he added.
He said 63 industrial connections, 624 commercial connections and 25,476 domestic connections were provided during the same period. He said the company is making efforts to provide maximum gas connections to facilitate the public.
He further said that about 25,000 applications for gas connections were still pending and added that steps are on to provide the connections as early as possible.
