Askari MasterCard and Paktel on Wednesday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strategic alliance. President Askari Commercial Bank Limited, Kalim-ur-Rehman and Chief Executive Officer Paktel, Xavier Rocoplan signed the agreement.
On this occasion Waheed Zaman, Vice President of Askari Bank, Muhammad Intesar Director Sales Paktel, and other senior representative of both the companies were also present.
"By virtue of this alliance the customers of both the organisations will be entitled for attractive discounts, free mobile connections and annual fee of credit cards", Xavier Rocoplan Chief Executive Officer Paktel informed the journalists after the signing of MoU.
Rocoplan said that Paktel would be offering free post-paid connections to Askari MasterCard customers, 30 percent discount on line rent and discount on monthly billings through Askari MasterCard.
Paktel has a subscriber base of around 900,000 and it has entered the digital mobile network market with the launch of its GSM services and formed strategic alliances with mobile giants Samsung and Nokia few months ago.
"The company currently has coverage in more than 200 cities and towns across Pakistan. We are trying our level best to provide best tele-services to the consumers on the easiest cost", he said.
Meanwhile expressing his views, Kaleem-ur-Rehman, President Askari Bank Limited said that Askari Bank is a major player in consumer banking and has introduced numerous products.
Through signing this MoU, Askari MasterCard will also offer free credit card to valued Paktel customers and free access to VIP lounge at Karachi airport and Rawal lounge at Islamabad airport to all Paktel customers holding Askari MasterCard.
