Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Wednesday had an aerial view of flood situation in River Indus and safety arrangements made for protection of embankments on both sides of the river. He had the aerial view while flying over Thatta, Tando Mohammed Khan, Hyderabad, Matiari and Nawabshah on way from Karachi to Naushehro Feroz.
The chief minister directed the DCOs to take steps for an early shifting of people from katcha areas to safer places so as to protect them from losses. He also issued directives to district and provincial governments to prepare comprehensive and co-ordinated programme for this purpose.
