The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has criticised the failure of railway authority and said the tragic Ghotki accident seemed to be a result of sheer negligence and incompetence of the railway administration, but unfortunately it was being labelled as an act of terrorism.
PML (N) Central Finance Secretary, Mohammad Pervaiz Malik, expressing grief and sorrows over the tragic railway accident said here, on Thursday, that this was not the first incident of railway's proving completely mismanagement and control failure.
"During the recent years about 43 railway accidents had occurred, including ramming of trains to each other, derailment of bogeys, collision of vehicles with trains at railway crossings and fire incidents, but no serious notice had been taken so far that resulted in recent loss of precious human lives and property," he added.
He called for urgent measures to revamp railways working and revolutionary steps to make the railways journey safe.
