The National Programme for Improvement of Watercourses (NPIW) Sindh Project Director, Mohammad Younus Dagha, has warned the officers concerned to complete the lining work of targeted watercourses by July 31, 2005 and in failing which action would be taken against the responsible persons.
Dagha tabled this warning while presiding over a meeting to review the on-going work at the DCO Office Hyderabad on Thursday.
Mohammad Younus Dagha directed the officers to maintain quality control of the work with proper designing within the timeframe and install signboards on completion of the work on ground to show that the work had been completed.
He said that DCOs and other monitoring agencies would inspect the development sites to review the quality of work time-to-time.
He said that every field team had been assigned a target of lining of 40 watercourses per year within a region to achieve the target, for which every possible facility would be provided to them.
