Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Saturday gave away tractors keys, thrashers and shields to the farmers for showing excellent performance in the field of wheat growing during the year 2005. Rao Khurshid Ahmed of Jhang district obtained first position by attaining record wheat production of 78 maund per acre.
He received shield along with key of a tractor from Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz for his achieving significant performance in wheat production during current year.
Others who received keys of tractors and shields for showing significant performance included Chaudhry Muhammad Afzal of Sialkot, Sheikh Nasir Saleem of Bahawalpur, Chaudhry Muhammad Ejaz of Rawalpindi, Syed Nadeem Shah of Hyderabad, Ali Nawaz Qazi of Larkana, Haji Faisal Khan of Bannu, Chaudhry Nasir Iqbal of AJK.
Special shields were also awarded to Federal Agriculture Commissioner Qadir Bux Baloch, Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor, Chaudhry Haq Nawaz, Brigadier Amanullah (Retd) and Nafees Sadiq Kasana.
