In the first of its kind of venture in Pakistan, Women Empowerment Literacy and Development Organisation (Weldo) will finance the airfare, accommodation, visa processing and business meetings of five Pakistani food sector related companies to the famous Anuga Trade Fair in Cologne, Germany.
The Pakistani companies will have a chance to boost their exports, meet partners, forge partnerships, expand their businesses and sign contracts with other European companies specialised in producing, trading, handling, marketing and transporting fresh and processed food as well as related equipment and services in this vital "Asia Enterprise Anuga 2005" business meeting from Monday 10th to Tuesday 11th October, 2005.
During the trade fair, approximately 100 participants will have the possibility to negotiate directly with pre-selected potential business partners from Europe and Asia, chosen out of the distributed company profiles and matching request forms.
Furthermore, the participants will also have the possibility to attend the similar event with companies from the Caribbean during their stay in Cologne.
This large-scale business meeting has been arranged to promote business relationship between the EU and Pakistan.
The meeting has been arranged in partnership with German-Belgian-Luxembourgian Chamber of Commerce with finance support from the European Union's Asia Invest programme.
The Anuga trade fair is the largest and most dynamic trade fair in the world. In 2003, a total of 6,000 international exhibitors and around 161,000 highly qualified visitors from all over the world attended the show. The trade fair would be an excellent background for the companies to also explore other avenues of business expansion.
The companies will be selected from all over Pakistan on merit basis therefore companies are invited to apply under this opportunity. This will be a very good opportunity for companies in Pakistan to boost their business, build their capacity, launch new ventures in food sector and get international exposure.
This event will be a decisive platform for contacts between European and Asian companies of the food processing industry.
From raw materials, technologies and logistics to marketing strategies - the full range of products and services for the food processing industry will be represented at the business meeting.
For further information on how to apply and participate in this programme please visit www.Weldo.org. and under the trade promotion link.
