As many as hundred persons have been affected by the recent heavy rain and floods in the Gilgit city and adjacent areas. Many people have become homeless and are living in the open, which obviously is dangerous and rehabilitation is needed as soon as possible.
Floods have completely damaged the standing crops, which have made the poor miserable. The affectees have contacted the concerned authorities but no any official has taken any notice yet to redress their grievances.
Through this letter, I appeal to the President of Pakistan and other high officials to take notice of the situation and give directions to the concerned authorities.
