Brett Lee said talk of Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne being over the hill was nonsense after the 35-year-old duo starred in the first Test against England at Lord's.
Leg-spinner Warne, the world's leading Test wicket-taker, returned figures of three for 46 as England, needing what would be a new world record fourth innings victory total of 420, slumped to 156 for five at stumps on the third day here on Saturday.
Earlier, after Australia had been bowled out for 190 in their first innings, McGrath got the tourists right back in the match with five for 43 as England were skittled out for 155 on a ground where they last won a Test against Australia in 1934. In the process the paceman joined Warne as one of only four bowlers to have taken 500 Test wickets.
Lee, playing his first Test for 19 months, added to his first innings haul of three for 47 with two for 58 Saturday, including the breakthrough dismissal of opener Andrew Strauss and the prize wicket of England captain Michael Vaughan for just four.
