English FA Cup holders Tottenham Hotspur beat French league champions Olympique Lyonnais 3-1 to win the Peace Cup Football Championship here on Sunday. The opening goal came in the sixth minute when Lyonnais defender Jeremy Berthod headed a neat cross from Spurs' Stephen Kelly past goalkeeper Gregory Coupet.
Irish star striker Robbie Keane, assisted by Egyptian forward Ahmed Mido, scored two goals to help Spurs maintain a comfortable 3-0 first-half lead at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
The first half belonged to Tottenham with Mido and Keane teaming up in attack to pressure the Lyonnais defense.
Lyonnais came back strongly after the break but were unlucky until the ball hit the right hand of Spurs captain Ledley King in the penalty area.
Rookie Hatem Ben Arfa who replaced Sylvain Wiltod in the second half fired a brillant penalty kick past Spurs keeper Radek Cerny.
The 74th-minute goal prompted Lyonnais to launch an energetic attack led by Sidney Govou but Cerny pulled off a string of saves to seal the match.
