Sri Lanka's cricket selectors on Sunday named two uncapped players for the one-day series against India and the West Indies starting later this week. Left-handed opening batsman Upul Tharanga, 20, and hard-hitting all-rounder Dilhara Lokuhettige, 25, were picked in a 15-man squad to be captained by Marvan Atapattu.
Fast bowler Dilhara Fernando, ignored for the ongoing Test series against the West Indies, was also included in the squad.
The one-day series begins in the central town of Dambulla on Saturday with the hosts taking on India under lights in the first match.
Four matches will be played in Dambulla and the remaining three at the Premadasa stadium in Colombo, including the final on August 9.
India and Sri Lanka have been drawn in the same group for the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean.
