Three security guards of Pak Arab Refinery Company (Parco) and a councillor, who were kidnapped on June 23rd during patrolling along the oil pipeline, were released on Monday after negotiation with a team, headed by Sardar Jamal Khan Leghari, former district nazim of Dera Ghazi Khan and son of former president of Pakistan Sardar Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari. They were kidnapped by Naukani Bosan gang.
"We have got three guards and a councillor released from the clutches of kidnappers without meeting their demand of payment of ransom of Rs 3 million.
They are identified as Ghulam Haider, councillor, three guards - Muhammad Akram, Saeed Ahmed and Ehsan Ahmed. However, they did not return their vehicle," DPO Dera Ghazi Khan Salman Chaudhry said.
Sources said that the outlaws had demanded amnesty and they had released these four persons as a gesture of goodwill.
