A fourteen member delegation of UAE armed forces being headed by Chief of Staff Lieutenant General, Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithy, currently on an official visit to Pakistan, met Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Ehsan-ul-Haq here at Joint Staff headquarters Chaklala on Tuesday.
He remained with him for some time and discussed issues of bilateral relations and co-operation.
Both military leaders agreed for more comprehensive and intense relations between the two countries and forthcoming years would witness enhanced co-operation between Pakistan and UAE, in all fields.
Chief of Staff UAE armed forces showed satisfaction on existing military to military co-operation but stressed to enhance it to make it more meaningful.
He appreciated the role that Pakistan has played in combating terrorism and praised the bold and visionary steps taken by President general Pervez Musharraf.
The delegation was also briefed on the security perspective, regional situation and Pakistan's stand point on various global and regional issues.
