Election Commission cancels transfer orders

The Election Commission on Wednesday ordered for cancellation of transfer orders of eight Tando Muhammad Khan education department officials, issued after the announcement of local government elections schedule.
Chief Election Commissioner Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar has asked the transferring authority to explain as to why action should not be taken against them for violation of provision of sub-section (4) of Section 179-A of local government ordinance 2001 as well as the directive of the authority.
