The Founders have urged the director trade organisation (DTO) to ensure appointment of an impartial returning officer, scrutineers and secretary for September 2005 LCCI elections, besides verification of the voters list from the income tax department so as to conduct the elections in a free, fair and transparent manner.
According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, The Founders President, Haji Muhammad Asif, in a letter to the DTO, has demanded this.
Haji Asif has alleged that role of Sheikh Saleem Ali who was also returning officer in the last year election was not impartial. He urged that the voters' list of the LCCI should also be verified from the income tax department to remove fake voters.
He also said that audited accounts of LCCI delegation to Tajikistan had also not been provided to the members so the DTO should direct chamber administration to provide these accounts to the members.-PR
