Four persons were killed and about 35 injured in head-on collision between a passenger bus and a coach on Lahore-Pindi Bhattian road near Adda Sheikhi, 10-km from here on Wednesday morning.
The bus proceeding from Lahore to Chiniot while overtaking another vehicle rammed into air-conditioned of passenger coach (LE-8688) coming from the opposite side. Fronts of both vehicles were totally smashed, survivors and police said.
Two persons, including bus driver Gul Feroz Khan (of district Hazara) and a passenger Muhammad Shafiq of Lalian, were killed on the spot.
Two died later in hospital but their identity was not known. Most of the injured, including women and children were moved to THQ Hospital Chiniot by Eidhi Centre ambulances, while six in critical condition were referred to the Allied Hospital, Faisalabad.
In another incident, an ex-army man Rana Akram was crushed to death by a speedy wagon near a village 39GB, on Wednesday, when he was waiting for a bus alongside the road.
In third accident, a woman Perveen was killed, while two other women and a child injured, when a speedy car turned turtle near Gojra.
