Pakistan-Canada Foundation (PCF) is preparing a report on the requirements of Fire Brigade for Karachi to get it the assistance of Canadian government for improving its standard. In this regard, the chairperson of Pakistan-Canada Foundation, Kosar Hassan, visited the Fire Bridge Headquarters, Karachi, here on Wednesday and was briefed about the working of the department.
Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Kazim Ali gave the briefing about the needs of the department to make it more efficient.
The PCF chairperson assured all possible help and appreciated the services of the department with limited resources.
She expressed astonishment over the construction of new buildings without the NOC of Fire Brigade Department, which is mandatory in other parts of the world.
On this occasion, a demonstration of fire fighting was also organised.
