Management no more remains a judgmental estimation. Quantitative tools are available to add to veracity of our forecasting plans. HR forecasts play an important linkage with the business plans. Mere opinionated manpower requirements may not hold true in the turbulent environmental changing scenario.
These quantitative tools are made use of with much intensity in the modern world, however, in the Pakistani work environment they are still unknown.
A workshop was held at a hotel here aimed to introduce these concepts to the HR managers. The workshop was jointly organised by the College of Management Sciences PAF-KIET and Business Solutions. Dr Mirza Abrar Baig of National Bank of Pakistan was the chief guest.
The event was facilitated by Lieutenant Colonel Syed Raza Kamal (Retd), Director, College of Management Sciences PAF-KIET. The quantitative tools discussed included job diagnostic survey, Markov Analysis, Bowey Turnover Index, Turnover inventories and discrimination low of the 4/5th.-PR
